Who we are
Telefans (“we”, “us”) runs this service and is responsible for your personal data (the controller). You can reach us through Contact.
This policy is for creators who use Telefans. Your fans’ data is covered below, under “Your fans’ data”.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and profile photo from Google, through our sign-in provider, and the devices you’re signed in on.
- Your bot and Telegram account: your bot’s token (encrypted), its name and username, and your Telegram account’s ID, name and username once you link the bot.
- Your vault: the photos and videos you upload, with their titles, tags, notes and folders.
- Your chats: from the moment you connect your bot, the messages in the chats you give it access to, with their photos, videos, voice notes and stickers; your fans’ names, usernames and profile photos; and the notes you write about your fans.
- Your sales: the PPVs you send, what each fan unlocked, and your Stars transactions, as Telegram reports them.
- Billing: your subscription, your purchases and your credit history. Card details go straight to Stripe: we never see them.
- AI reply drafts: when you ask for one, the recent messages of that chat, at that moment.
- Technical logs: the errors and events we need to keep Telefans running, kept only briefly.
Why we use it
- To give you Telefans: your account, your bot, the vault, the inbox, sending PPVs, your sales and billing. This is needed to perform our agreement with you.
- To keep it safe and lawful: preventing abuse, looking into reports, removing illegal content and keeping the billing records tax law requires. This is our legitimate interest, and in part a legal obligation.
- To run the business: our team is told of each payment (the product, the amount and your email), and we look at how much each account uses, AI costs included. This is our legitimate interest.
We don’t sell your data or show ads, and we never use your chats to train AI models, ours or anyone’s.
Your fans’ data
Your fans’ messages, names and photos reach us because you connect your bot to your chats. We handle them on your behalf, only to run your inbox and your sales for you. You decide which chats your bot can see, and you need a lawful reason to keep them, such as answering fans who wrote to you. If a fan asks us about their data, we pass the request to you.
Who receives it
- The services that run Telefans for us, only for that: our servers in Frankfurt, Germany; private file storage; our sign-in provider; Stripe for payments; and an AI model provider for reply drafts, which doesn’t keep what it’s sent or train on it.
- Telegram: what you send through your bot goes through Telegram, under Telegram’s own privacy policy.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, including reports of illegal content.
Some of these services are outside the European Economic Area, such as in the United States. Data sent there is protected by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
- Your vault: until you delete an item, or your account.
- Your saved chats, fan notes and sales records: while your account exists.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after that.
- When your account is deleted, everything else is erased within 30 days, and from our backups within a further 30 days.
Deleting your data
Delete vault items, one or many, from the vault at any time. To delete all your saved chats or your whole account, write to us through Contact and we do it within 30 days; deleting them from Settings is coming. To stop your bot seeing a chat, take the chat off its list in Telegram, under My Profile → Chat Automation.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, in a common format you can take elsewhere, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or limit or stop how we use it. Write to us through Contact: we answer within one month. You can also complain to the data protection authority of the EU country where you live or work, or where you think your rights were broken.
Cookies
We only use the cookies Telefans needs: to keep you signed in, set by our sign-in provider, and to remember your time zone, your sidebar and how your vault is laid out. Your browser also keeps a few of your settings, such as message sounds. There are no analytics or advertising cookies, so there’s nothing to accept.
Keeping it safe
Everything travels encrypted (HTTPS). Your bot’s token is encrypted with keys kept apart from the database. Your files sit in private storage and open only through short-lived links. Only you can see your data, and our admin when needed to help you or look into a report: whenever the admin opens your account or one of your chats, it’s noted in your account’s log.
Age
Telefans is only for adults: you must be 18 or older to use it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update this page and its date. If a change affects how we use your data, we tell you in the app before it applies.
